Before stepping onto the gym floor as a NASM-certified personal trainer, I worked as a social worker and earned my Master’s in Conflict Resolution. I found that the empathy and relationship-building skills I developed in my past career transfer perfectly into how I coach today. I’m also a certified kettlebell instructor, and I specialize in functional strength, conditioning, and powerlifting. To me, the absolute best part of coaching is watching people dip into vulnerability and completely surprise themselves with what they are capable of. My ultimate goal is for everyone to feel unapologetically proud and strong in their bodies.
My own path to fitness definitely wasn’t a straight line. I used to have a very different relationship with my body, food, and overall wellness—at one point, I weighed 230 lbs at 5’2″. Today, I live as a sober person, I embrace the journey, and I absolutely love challenging myself with fitness in new ways.
As a proud queer person, I’m deeply committed to holding space for others and making the gym an inclusive, welcoming environment. When I’m not coaching or lifting, you can usually find me exploring the outdoors, hanging out with my cats, or putting on a cult classic movie.
