I discovered weight training and functional fitness later in life when I joined PDXStrength right before my 40th birthday. Before then, my experience in athletics was as a D3 college swimmer but the lack of good pools in the St. Johns area left me looking for a new way to workout. I’m thrilled to be joining the coaching staff to help share the strength, conditioning and community that I’ve built from being a member. You’ll often find me in the weeknight Group Strength & Conditioning classes or coaching on Sat. mornings.
My main focus as a coach is to meet athletes where they are in their fitness journey. If you want to learn a gymnastics movement (I love working on handstands!), build strength, or just get sweaty, I want to help you have fun doing it! I’ve learned from PDXStrength that the most effective workout is the one that makes you look forward to coming back to the gym.
